Selection Process (Stage-wise)

 Stage I – Preliminary Examination (CBT – Objective)

  • Questions: 120
  • Marks: 120
  • Duration: 120 Minutes
  • Negative Marking: 0.25 mark per wrong answer

  • English Language & Comprehension – 45 Marks
  • General Awareness & Current Affairs – 45 Marks
  • Reasoning & Numerical Ability – 30 Marks

Qualifying Marks:

  • General – 60 Marks
  • Reserved Categories – 54 Marks

 Stage II – Main Examination (Descriptive)

  • Total Marks: 100
  • Duration: 120 Minutes

Paper Pattern:

  • Essay (250 words) – 40 Marks
  • Letter Writing – 10 Marks
  • Grammar – 30 Marks
  • Translation – 20 Marks

Stage III – English Typing Test (Qualifying)

  • Duration: 10 Minutes
  • Required Speed: 35 WPM
  • Mistakes Allowed: Maximum 3%

Stage IV – Interview

  • Maximum Marks: 15
  • No minimum qualifying marks
  • Final merit list will be prepared based on Main Exam + Interview marks only
